April 16, 2016 - Aromas of lead pencil, blackberry, mint, leather and vanilla on the nose. This is big and expansive on the palate with flavors of blackberry, cherry, melted chocolate, currant and iron. Ends with a currant and iron infused finish that goes on for 25+ seconds. Bet showing for this wine yet.

December 27, 2015 - Popped and poured. Fruit forward, with loads of dark berry up front and a touch of anise. Could use more grip for balance, but a hedonistic pleasure all the same.

November 26, 2015 - Opened 3 bottles over varying times. The best was decanted for 2 hours +. A great year for this winery. Lots of bell pepper on the start and a good finish. Very well rounded Napa cab.

July 22, 2015 - Better than the 09. Deep currant and plum flavors, with a licorice finish...seems like it will keep a while but drinking well right now.

May 13, 2015 - Black in color turning purple at the rim with a reflective edge. The palate is powerful, dense and solidly-structured with a velvety texture. Flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, sunflower honey, tobacco and espresso. Very expressive, balanced and structured. Finishes long with hints of scorched earth, vanilla, and toasted oak. Great showing from Honig. I love this wine! Drink now until 2025.
