March 30, 2017 - Has softened nicely over the past few years with secondary flavors starting the show. Very nice Napa cab that I wish I had more of. Tannins are almost gone so not sure how much longer this will last though but drinking very well right now

January 3, 2017 - Faust Vertical 2009/2010/2011: Double decanted back into bottles 2 hours prior to dinner, pretty much no sediment. Tasted before and after decant with not much change in taste. It may be confirmation bias but I felt like the wines tasted like what I've read about the vintages: 2009 was the most fruit forward. 2010 the most interesting. Ripe fruit but more interesting complexity. 2011 felt a bit thin and underdeveloped. If served double blind I honestly would say there was not a huge difference between the three wines, only there if you look for it. All three have fruit, medium density/texture/acidity and decent but not great finish. These three vintages are a let down compared to the 2008 vintage which I had 9 bottles of over a 5 year span. All three vintages ready to drink in my opinion, and I don't see it improving much with more aging.

July 4, 2016 - Very nice and very typical Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, true 4th of July wine!
Nose - full of black currant, pencil lead, dark chocolate, wine has full/large body, very smooth in the mouse, tasty and nicely balanced, good medium finish.
We had it with New York cut steak and it's hard to believe that you can have a happier match. Happy 4th of July!

January 16, 2016 - Peppery and bold - enjoyed this more when it was younger. Better wines in this price point.
