Community Tasting Notes 1

September 29, 2012 - Very dark ruby. Initially reductive, needs some time in the glass or decanting to reveal lovely dark plums, black cherries, blackberries and loads of sweet spice and sweet oak. Med-full bodied with silky tannins, freshness and med-high acidity. Extremely food friendly and generous wine, with a long aftertaste. Already enjoyable with a long life ahead. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, trodden by foot and aged for 18 months in French barriques, 50% new.
