September 27, 2022 - Really gorgeous and peaked Opened 4 hours prior and blossomed with a hearty chicken and tomato based pasta Wish I had more

July 16, 2022 - Dark purple in color. Nose primarily reveals dark fruit. Opens with notes of blackberry, plum, and cassis, transitioning to lighter notes of oak and a little earth. More primary than I would have expected at 12 years old. Not sure if this will ever go anywhere. Tannins are well integrated. The alcohol peeks through at points, but isn't overbearing. 14.9% ABV.

This may have also suffered in comparison to the 2011 Chapoutier St. Joseph served side by side, which showed more finesse and was preferred by those trying both wines.

    January 23, 2022 - Delicious!

When first opened the front was very sweet with candied cherries, smoked meat, following day the sweetness waned and was more balanced.

March 7, 2021 - This is a big, dark and intense Syrah based wine. Beautiful enticing nose of smoked meat and earthiness. Well integrated but constantly changing and evolving complex taste in the glass - salt and pepper, big dark fruit and berries, hints of vanilla and chocolate. I would say this is drinking at prime right now and probably won't benefit from any further aging.

November 21, 2020 - Lush, elegant and delicious. This vintage has aged well and is now at its peak.
