February 23, 2017 - Pop and poured. Drank over 2 hours. At home.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon yellow colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of pebbly stone minerality and citrus lemon fruit. With more air, smoke and slight hazelnut and butter. Developing.
On the palate, dry, mouth-watering high acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of wet pebbles, stony minerality, citrus lemon, ripe peach, butter. Long finish.
Very good quality. Doesn't really impress on the nose, but shows its mettle on the palate. Lovely stony minerality paired with ripe citrus lemon and peach fruit. Right touch of oak that's not overt on the palate. Nothing flashy. Lots of poise. Drink now and over next 5 years.
