October 5, 2021 - Didn't seem to be in great shape.

March 12, 2017 - Very dark, almost black color, beautiful dark berry earthy nose, rich dark berry fruit, a trace of acidity, very smooth, all in balance with a lengthy smooth finish. A very well made wine. Wish we had more in our cellar.

January 1, 2017 - Typical mature Priorat with time at hand. Rich nose, a little bretty at first - with black fruits and secondary notes of tobacco, cedar, and meat & bacon. Apart from the color, this wine could easily be misstaken for a mature Barolo with its delicate notes of roses and tar. Heavy, somewhat jammy, but elegant and well balanced thanks to a good acidity. Long, spijt finish.

May 5, 2014 - Weekly tasting group #117; A mixed set. (@ DJ): Blood red. Beautiful bouquet with luxurious oak, cedar, sweet spices like cinnamon, smoke, dark forest fruits and spiciness. On the palate red and dark berry fruits, coffee, cocoa, tobacco, oak, beautiful acidity which can balance the sweetness and silky soft tannin with still a good bite. A fully mature wine and no real hurry.

September 2, 2012 - Surprisingly youthful at this stage of development, with moderately burley tannins and rich dark fruit. It needed about three hours to properly open, but once it did it was a rewarding experience. Notes of piquant boysenberries, chocolate tar and creamy vanilla with a decent acidic backbone. It expands nicely on the midpalate and finishes with a lasting impression of ripe brandied cherries. Good for at least another decade at a minimum.
