July 30, 2015 - Not a terribly great or interesting Gigondas. Improved after about 30-60 mins, but not impressive. There are many other value Gigondas wines that I would prefer over this. Has characteristic southern Rhone nose, decent structure but not enough fruit or complexity to make it worthwhile. Grade: C.

July 29, 2015 - Nice bit of spicy complexity, some earth. At it's best on open - faded fast. Don't decant.

April 3, 2015 - Very young but good structure and complexity. Spicy but not overbearing. This is a good summer sipper.

March 3, 2015 - Over processed, dull and lifeless. No nose to speak of, tastes like generic grape juice, no finish. Reminds me of a bad beaujolais nouveau, in the way that it doesn't taste like much and has a flat texture. On the plus side it is drinkable with no flaws, other than lack of everything. Below average quality.

December 5, 2014 - Thanksgiving Weekend!!: The general flavor profile of the wine seemed muted with a big mouthfeel and strong tannins on the back. This wine is totally disjointed at present. Watered down notes of dark red fruit with mild bramble and black pepper notes offer a sound sense of Gigondas on the attack, but totally falls off as the tannins take over on the finish. An odd showing. Maybe an off bottle? I was hoping for an old school styled Gigondas, this did not provide.
