December 26, 2020 - Pop and pour. Plum, cassis, blackberries, red cherries, smoke, earth, light barrel scents, and a little raspberry. Blackberry, plum, tart cherry, cassis, and earth on the palate. Good acidity, lightly grippy tannins, medium finish. Delicious. This wine is pretty big, but pretty, and also has a nice streak of sweetness that makes you want to take another sip.

April 6, 2016 - Smooth indeed, although with more structure than a typical Cali merlot at this price point.

This was just not quite in the sweet spot for my wife -- she gave it 88/89. I was a 90.
