Community Tasting Notes 5

August 26, 2014 - garnet, medium body, long legs, pleasant strawberry aroma after blow-off, meaty red fruit flavor, Chilean terroir, interesting finish, first night bite; second night rubber disappointing given other reviews

January 24, 2014 - From first sniff, a very intriguing wine! Intensely perfumed. Pleasant developed bouquet with black pepper, blackberries, brambles, and a hint of vanilla bean. Balanced fruit on the palate with graphite accent on the finish. Delicious and dangerously drinkable. Excellent sensation, balance and shape for a wine at this price point.

December 23, 2013 - My last bottle. The perfect heart warming wine to have during the black out with freezing temperature. Just great value for money. Peppery and savoury. A real treat for the money. Will be looking for other vintages.

November 7, 2012 - Intense aromas of blueberry, raspberry, vanilla and hints of coffee. Medium-bodied and fruit forward with peppercorn leading to long, smooth finish. Quite well-balanced with refined tannins. Tasty!

October 14, 2012 - Really quite impressive. Black pepper, smoky and dark fruit. Just like a Northern Rhone Croze with less acidity and more fruit finish. Soft tannin. Ready to enjoy now. Fantastic value.
