February 20, 2013 - Drunk over three days.
Pale straw yellow, clear.
The nose is mainly mineral, but has also floral notes. On all three days, after about half an hour in the glass it showed very intense and sweet fruit, pineapple, I would say. This then slowly faded away and did not show up again until the next day, in the same way. The palate is dry, with crisp acidity and good tension. Also mainly mineral, a hint of salinity, sometimes finished on a grapefruit note and sometimes more on anise.
A very interesting, lively wine. It kept changing quite a bit, so that it is difficult to nail it. Pleasure and interest at this point would be a ***, but I can well imagine that if it integrates better its various components it may become wonderful.
