Community Tasting Notes 1

  • Joesap Likes this wine:

March 19, 2014 - Grade: VG+. Single vineyard Merlot, Malbec and Petit-verdot blend. The Merlot brings fruit and plushness, the Malbec structure and elegance and the petit-verdot a certain je-ne-se-quoi. This wine checks all the boxes: wonderful dark violet color, luxiourious nose of cassis, plums, fig-juice and cloves. On the palate: plums, loganberries, red fruit, some lead-pencil notes, not very tannic but noticeable oak. Finish is dry, long and elegant with some minerality and earthiness. Delicious! Drink now

    My Grades: EXX-Exceptional, EX-Excellent, VG-Very Good, G-Good, O-Ordinary, P-Poor, U-Ungraded
