Community Tasting Notes 2

June 16, 2020 - This smells like port. Crazy. It legit smells like rubbing alcohol and wine. It's very green in profile, but smells like a fortified Oregon wine: fake candied berries, alcohol and butter. Similar fortified notes on the palate, and very very boozy on the finish... almost makes me want to vomit. There's SOME acid on the finish, but I don't really know what to do with this. Drank alongside the 2006, 2007, and 2010, all of which I liked, and this was the real loser of the bunch. Didn't age well at all. I obviously liked this wine well enough to buy it, but it did not age well.

January 16, 2013 - 2 Days in the Valley- Day 1 (Willamette Valley, OR): Nose: Shows the 09 forward quality with tones of berries, dark red cherries, spice tones, and red fruits.

Taste: Medium bodied with medium acidity and a plusher feel. The tones of berries, dark red cherries, and spice tones have some warmth to them, but aren't too forward.

Overall: This is a nice and plusher pinot. This is very ready to drink right now and is enjoyable right now.
