May 27, 2012 - Showing really well now, tasted side by side with 2003 and 02 exhibited more depth and breadth. 2003 may need more time, seemed more closed, still somewhat tannic after primary fruit.

February 24, 2012 - Still pretty chewy with flavors of plums and dried cherries. Nose dominated by alcoholic whiffs and dried figs. Still, an enjoyable wine.

Big, bruising palate of black fruit, mocha and bing cherry. Medium acidity and enamel stripping tannins. A big, massive wine. Long finish.
