August 27, 2015 - Wonderful. Has a hint of crispness and a minerality that puts it more in the chablis camp for me. Had with seafood, and this bottle beat an '07 Fevre Chablis CdB for everyone at the table...

July 9, 2015 - Brought to a restaurant and didn't focus as much on the bottle as the people we were with. Stone fruit, red apple, tropical backbone, nice flintiness. Good acids, not butter. Very well received by the table.

July 9, 2015 - Popped and poured, light straw-gold. Expansive immediately off the pop, the nose shows an initial burst of flintiness which quickly evolves into lovely, citrus-infused notes of lemon bar, honeyed peaches, beeswax, almond paste and a subtle impression of the herbaceous. Moderate body. This has that impression of vibrant, perfectly ripened fruit you often get from Chardonnays made under ideal circumstances...and while there's still a bit of citrus, it makes way for bolder flavors of ripe apples, pears and stone fruits (who says Chardonnay never tastes like anything?? ;) ). Well-balanced, with moderate acidity keeping things lively on the measured close.
This one seems to be in an absolutely perfect spot for drinking, no reason to hold.

Quick comment: The overt flint/matchstick note is perhaps why this could fool one into thinking it comes from across the pond...that said, the flavors show as purely California at it's most delicious.

March 19, 2015 - Blind. Guessed French Chardonnay. Yeah, it was a california tasting but I figured he'd try and slip one by.

Very light yellow color. Great nose of tree fruit and cut grass, actually, more like humbbolt skunk. Palate has flint and matchstick, really screaming French. Clean, crisp finish. Excellent.

March 7, 2015 - A touch less vibrant than my last bottle, with a slightly metallic aftertaste.
