May 15, 2014 - Southern Rhone visit - May 2, 2014; 5/8/2014-5/20/2014: Winery visit- Alluring earthy and mineral notes on the nose to go along with eastern spice and red cherry. Rich on the palate with medium acid and polished full tannins, and showing black fruit, minerality and violet notes. Medium length. Very nice.

October 25, 2013 - Minerality with hints of barnyard on the nose and palate. Austere, crushed rocks, gripping grainy tannins. Wonderful wine!

May 1, 2013 - Don’t get confused: the fact that this is called “cuvée” doesn’t mean it’s a superior wine than the regular “tradition” Vacqueyras (it’s actually sold at the same price). In fact, to me, it’s the opposite. The intention here was to change the blend, putting less Grenache (from 80% in the regular cuvée to 75%), and blending it only with a 25% of Syrah. Despite its austere nose, it has an outgoing and aromatic mouth. 84 points
