November 21, 2014 - The wine is clear and bright with a medium lemon colour. The nose is clean and developing, showing pronounced intensity aromas of tropical fruit (overripe banana, ripe pineapple), MLF (cream) and oak (vanilla, toast). The wine is off-dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has a medium(+) alcohol and a full body. It has pronounced intensity flavours of tropical fruit (overripe banana, ripe pineapple), MLF (cream) and oak (vanilla, toast). The finish is medium(+).

It is a good quality wine. It has a pronounced concentration of flavours and the finish is persistent enough. However it lacks some acidity to balance the sweetness and the fruit concentration, and a better example of this style should be more complex.

Drink now, not intended for ageing. The fruit will fade and the wine will become sour, it lacks enough acidic structure to be kept for more than 1 or 2 years.

January 28, 2014 - I typically avoid critter wines. Was given this one by family, so felt bound to give it a try. Happen to enjoy this one enough to overlook the critter on the label. Everything I'd want in an every day chardonnay.
