June 13, 2014 - Excellent dark color. Wild nose of tar, charcoal, dark cherry fruit, cloves and Worcester sauce. Quite complex and concentrated although it faded quickly. Firm acidity with notes of spice wood and dark forest on the finish. A bit clumsy in the texture and very mature at this point but what a joy to taste Vega of this age. Beau Rivage, Geneva, 6/14

June 10, 2014 - Reddish brown with a bright dark cherry nose nose. This initially read young, slightly tart and acidic at the start but over 40 minutes developed great complexity but never came into balance for me. Others loved it but we were evenly divided.
