October 5, 2015 - Terroir revolution at Trimbach - and the just released Clos Ste Hune 2008 (Maison Trimbach): Well, what can I say? I am generally not a huge fan of Alsace Pinot Gris. This is very well made, with 8 grams of tartaric acid and 34 grams of residual sugar. It is smooth and somewhat sticky. Lovers of Pinot Gris with some freshness will be happy with this!

October 16, 2014 - Straw yellow. Surprisingly mineralic and fresh. Gentle sweetness but on the dry side. Exotic fruits, stones, chalk. Great wine - worked well with chicken.

September 26, 2014 - This is a pretty flawless Pinot Gris at this level. Dry deliciously long, perfectly poised and elegant.

October 11, 2013 - Trimbach Tasting (1855): Fruity, very slightly sweet only. Salty and flinty from the nose to the palate. Notes of caramel. Will develop more with age. Having had bad experiences with the Pinot Gris varietal previously, this was refreshingly good.

August 29, 2013 - - Yellow color with medium forming legs - Enjoyed this but probably needs more time to fully develop. Always can rely on trimback for quality bottle.
Yellow in colour. Salty, flinty on the nose.
Slightly tropical on the palate, although I got a hint of both caramel and banana? Despite saying this, the palate was more savoury than sweet.
I don't regularly drink Pinot Gris, so don't have a wide benchmark. But would definitely buy this again.
