  August 15, 2015 - Full fruit bouquet. Smooth, velvety texture on the tongue. Hints of cherry and wild raspberry. Aged very well at 14 years. This wine could still lay down longer!

  April 25, 2014 - From a bottle kindly provided by K.J., this wine was sampled by our tasting group in single-blind fashion. Opaque garnet in color, it has a nice bouquet of black currants, tobacco, eucalyptus and dried herbs. Full-bodied and fresh on the palate, it frames similar flavors with medium sweet tannins and seamless alcohol. Nicely "stuffed" in the middle, the wine closes with a medium-to-long, tart finish. This is a mature Cabernet with much appeal. Enjoy it over the next 5-6 years. Drink now-2020.

  July 7, 2013 - Good nose, nice ruby color indicative of it's age. Drank well right out of the bottle and continued to get better with some air. Has some pretty good complexity but a little short on that good Cab mouth feel. Some nice fruit with some interesting spice or anise flavors. I liked it but near as much as the Stags Lead we had before it.
