  February 6, 2017 - Popped and poured at dinner at home. Dark garnet color. Faint nose of cherry and strawberry. Thin legs. Medium body. Not complex, even hollow flavors of dark cherry and blackberry. Astringent sour notes on finish.
  
  Update 2 days later: This wine has benefitted from being aerated and decanted for a day. It is more complex on the tongue and its sour astringency on finish has disappeared. We're increasing our rating from 85 to 88.

  May 10, 2016 - Can't remember what the last bottle was like - but I sure enjoyed this one. Nice balance to the fruits and acidity, with soft tannins and light to medium body. At least to my palate. Interesting and tasty. I'd buy more at this price for sure.

  January 22, 2016 - Deep red color. Aromas of red cherries, licorice and spices. Ripe, medium-bodied fruit in the mouth with good depth and length and well-integrated tannins. Not very complex but delicious with grilled meats and an excellent value.

  December 27, 2015 - Surprisingly mostly unchanged from my note from two years ago. The flavors match, the structural notes are more integrated though this time the finish is shorter. Drinking very well now but it's likely a few more years before this starts to drop off.
