October 11, 2022 - Decanted for around 30 minutes. Medium garnet color with some bricking around the edges. Aromas of amarena cherry, balsamic, cedar cigar box, roasted plum, sweet baking spice on the nose. Very pretty. Similar flavors on the palate with great concentration of cherry and plum fruit along with notes of cedar, balsamic and dried cherry. The texture and finish on this wine was really quite good. Medium+ acidity with silky tannins and a long finish. Excellent barolo with plenty of life ahead of it.

February 16, 2019 - More fruit forward (raspberry) and significant dill than I recall in my last note. But texture is still light and a dance in the mouth.. dark power on a light frame.

December 24, 2018 - Drank out of magnum; decant but tasted at opening. Feels like a really good bottle.

Fresh right from start; young alive slightly tightly wound but fresh red fruit and minerality.

3 hour decant: beautiful nose of plum, eucalyptus, wet tobacco, red currant, hint of anise; great acidity and backbone; well balanced with 30 second plus finish.

June 7, 2018 - Hail the dark master, what a manly wine; tough, dry, immensely concentrated, tarm, cherries tobacco. Extremely young, extremely good as well.
