April 26, 2024 - Powerful and rich fruited. Tannins are grippy but mellowed from earlier bottles of a few years ago. Going to hold my last bottle for a few more years before thinking of opening

April 26, 2024 - Less Celebrated France WIMPS #176 26th April 2024 (La Trompette, Chiswick): Dark fruits, some pain grille, some marron glace, a little hoisin and some flecks of white chocolate. Palate shows this wine has time ahead with some tannins that still need some time to resolve. Based on other vintages of this wine I'd say another 5-10 years. Great potential though.

August 5, 2022 - Very enjoyable wine. Dark and brooding but with a nice nose of caramel and hot berries. The wine is a little rough on first taste but after half an hour smooths out nicely. Enjoyable on its own but lovely with food and cheese. Drinkable now but suspect at least 10+ years of good drinking ahead.

April 27, 2022 - Absolute steal of a deal from costco at $23.99. Far better than the typical bargain bordeaux style wine. Despite the inky dark color I found this to be a bit on the mild mannered side with not much of a nose & a short finish. The light notes of anise and loads of minerality really make this wine shine ... paired with a lighter pasta dish and it was perfect.

January 2, 2022 - This wine was beautiful. Dark purple and fresh. Very smooth and velvety on the tongue. While there was still some fresh fruit flavors, this was dry and mature. Ready to drink now but I’ll wait at least another year to open my last bottle .
