August 10, 2014 - Though not exactly an impressive wine, this wine was actually a pleasant surprise for a $13 bottle of no expectation. Strong early fruit flavor with a minerally finish that isn't too dry and lingers the right amount. I would hold until after early 2015 to allow a little more maturity and balance in the taste. At this price, it would make a decent everyday casual wine.

July 25, 2014 - rough and unbalanced. Fruit forward like a plush cab but too harsh of a fruit with a sour body with little development. Even spicy sausage and red sauce struggle with this.

June 29, 2014 - Fruit forward but with prominent tannins. The thing that left a strong impression on me is the "sappy" fruit quality with strong blackberry and black currant flavors. Enjoyable entry level Bordeaux.

May 13, 2014 - This is a simple, average Bordeaux that the best thing going for it is its QPR. The color is a nice deep ruby and the nose offers damp soil, mushroom, and dark berries. The palate offers the same plus clove, black pepper, and a hint of chocolate. The low acidity makes it rather dull and uninspiring but the tannins are firm and assertive. The finish is short. This wine is ready to drink and good for another 2+ years.

December 11, 2012 - Lurton Tasting; 12/10/2012-12/11/2012 (London): Rich, ripe, coffee and blackcurrant nose. Powerful. Grippy but smooth tannin. Dark fruit with plenty of spice and oak. Shows potential.
