July 1, 2023 - Notes after following for 24 hours open. Brownish-ruby color, about 50% saturated with a pinch of sediment and haze. Profound bouquet of wildflowers and cherries, tar and red licorice. The palate is both remarkably fresh and luscious, with a gentle wave of acidity to pilot the flight. It also held its balance in notable fashion the entire time open and never dropped off. Killer that Ed put these library wines out for list members.

January 30, 2019 - PNP and ate with spicy Ginger pork. A bit overwhelmed by the spice, so not a terribly successful pairing.

Pale garnet color. Aromas of cola, raspberry, rhubarb, orange zest, clove and tobacco. Silky texture, light-bodied, lively acids and round tannins. Red berries and dried cranberries on entry, with orange zest and clove in the finish. Finish on this bottle is a bit cliff-edged, which is inconsistent with prior notes.

Unclear if the wine is declining or this was just a quirk of the bottle. Either way, will probably finish the remaining bottles this year rather than wait.

December 5, 2018 - Singing from the pop of the cork. This was fantastic. A lighter style but with wonderfully pure flavors and an orange-peel note that reminded me a bit of Rivers-Marie. Endlessly appealing and a great achievement in a tough vintage. I may have to buy another “library pack” to get more. 91.

November 24, 2018 - PNP. Pale Garnet color. Bold aromas of strawberry, rhubarb, cola, white pepper, cocoa and wet leaves. Medium-bodied, lively and succulent, with flavors of red berries and dried cranberries, cocoa and a lengthy finish that is full of citrus and spice, with hints of olive. Elegant, if you are lucky enough to have some in your cellar, now is a good time to try one!

October 14, 2018 - Pale garnet color. Aromas of strawberry, rhubarb, white pepper, cola and herbs. Medium/Light-bodied, zesty and silky, with red berries and cola on entry, cured meats in the mid-palate and a very lengthy finish that is savory and spicy. This is an elegant and refined Pinot, drinking to perfection at the moment.
