  December 19, 2015 - A moldy cork but bottle ok. Muted on opening but it opened up. Petrol notes and apples. Very good.

  February 18, 2014 - Clear light gold in color. Clean nose of honey, apple and petrol. On palate some lime and tropical fruit. Wish I could have paired with food, but still was great on its own

  July 23, 2013 - Once again Riesling shows it's incredible ability to age. This wine comes from the warmest vineyard face in the Mosel so usually delivers extremely rich and opulent wines. That being said, 1991 was an extremely cool vintage which in turn made the wines bright and delicate.
  
  In the glass the wine was a pale lemon with a slight green tinge around the edges. The nose was extremely mineral with classic river stone and chalks notes with hints of flint and gunpowder; only a touch of petrol. As the wine opened up it yielded crisp hints of kaffir lime, meyer lemon, tangerine, nutmeg and tropical fruit. The palate was deceivingly fresh - stinging acidity balanced the kiss of sweetness wonderfully; that being said it was rather plump and mouth coating in texture. Drinking like a much younger wine - sensational value.
