February 18, 2020 - 5th Annual PNV Kick Lunch...didnt get notes on all the wines...w Tom/Jay/Jamie/Todd/Jeff/Tor/Greg (Farmstead, St. Helena, CA): Generous contribution from Jeff (at his first PNV lunch). A trat to dink old Henschke, my experience has been limited to Hill of Grace, fist time with this designate. Cork came out clean, PnP.

Vibrant, faded ruby color, mild separation. Nose of red fruits, soy, savory notes. Palate showing red currant, cedar, game, truffle/mushroom(?), slight spice/pepper. Medium/full bodied (adjusted for age...).

Classically Aussie profile, at full maturity. Fun to drink a well aged bottle like this. Would drink now, moving into tertiary phase

December 2, 2012 - 1952 Maurice O'Shea Lunch (Sydney, Australia): Almost seemed more Cabernet in style with capsicum, raspberry and mint aromas. The palate has beautiful soft red fruits and great balance. Fully mature and delicious.

May 1, 2005 - Rich full bodied shiraz at the peak of maturity. Still purple red with shades of brick, amazing forward nose of mature red fruits. On th palate, well integrated fresh fruit with tea overtones. Lovely. 94 points. 9/02
Group #8, My #8 - I believe this was an off bottle. Opaque cloudy red/garnet. Rich full aroma of red cherry, barnyard, and coffee. Medium red fruit but a little thin with a lot of acidity. Pale with an olive flavor. Not very good. MUST be decanted. Drink up. 85pts. 5/05
