Community Tasting Notes 8

July 27, 2013 - Opened, not decanted. Light browning crimson in color. Aromas of ripe cherries, damp forest, and hints of smoke are apparent on the nose. The palate shows a nice arrangement of strawberries, violets, cola, and black tea. Balanced and mature; drink up.

June 28, 2010 - Spoiled. All vinegar and no fruit.

March 15, 2008 - nice balance of fruit, acidity and alcohol (14.5%). nose has a bit of pepper, clove, cherry and a hint of all spice. on the palate it was reduced cherry and strawberry mixed in with a bit of oak and slight green pepper. big wine with medium-long finish and still has the structure to last 2 more years at least.

October 31, 2007 - Somewhat improved over the previous tasting, but still somewhat sharp, alcoholic heat and tannicy.

May 4, 2007 - Medium garnet to a deeper ruby in color. Aroma of rose petelas, violets and a wisp of smoke. Lush red fruit with a touch of sassafras and spice. Delicate tannins and a lingering finish.
