May 21, 2022 - Holding up well. Carneros funk with some black cherry, blueberry/blackberry, sage and a hint of pepper.

October 19, 2016 - Easy drinker and a pleasant surprise. Had this inventoried as a regular Carneros Pinot then noticed it was the Reserve bottling when I pulled it from the cellar. Full bodied, mellow tannins, very fruit forward, plum and black cherry, a bit jammy, not much spice. A long, driving groove. If J.J. Cale had been a winemaker, this is the kind of wine he'd make.

2009 L Spertino PN vs 2010 Schug PN Carneros Reserve:
- Beide recht konzentriert in der Farbe
- Spertino wirklich völlig anders als alle anderen Weine. Fast etwas Eukalyptus. Spannender Wein, für mich passt er aber heute nicht so richtig rein
- Schug ist ein Hammer. Toller Wein! Typisch PN, dabei aber schöne Struktur und tolle Frucht. Einer der Gewinner des heutigen Abends
