April 23, 2023 - Opened for 2 plus hours before drinking. A lovely mature burgundy with length , depth and complexity. I would guess this has a few more years in it before it peaks but quite wonderful now.

July 8, 2022 - This was my 4th of 5 bottles and it was pure magic. The first three I’ve drank never really showed and remained tightly wound to the point that I was ready to write this wine off as a victim of the sub par vintage. I haven’t had one in 18 months, so I decided to give it another go and bang! Beautiful aromatics. Spice, pepper and cove on the outset with high acidity that has finally mellowed giving way to a parade of black and red fruits that persist for a truly stunning finish. Truly mind boggling how beautiful this wine was given the fairly average showing the last bottle provided. Wines and experiences like this are what make Burgundy so seductive.

Note: I drank this over 7 hours with no decant. It really hits its stride about 2 hours in, and tasting the evolution was part of what made this such a thrilling wine. It peaked about 4-5 hours in.

May 9, 2022 - Night 1: all about spicy, herbaceous forest floor and dry wood. Light-bodied and a bit tart. It was ok, but didn’t ring my bell particularly (what can I say, I like fruit). Coravined.

Night 2: it had mellowed, with emerging black fruit, quenching wood-sting/pencil lead and tooth-gripping medium tannins, all in balance and interesting to the bottom of the glass. Everything I look for in a red Burgundy.

I had expected a write this bottle off, but was surprised at how good it was, outshining a simple (even simplistic) fruit-forward 15’ Dujac Chambolle villages.

August 21, 2021 - Magnum. Ouvert et bu. Superbe couleur framboise.
Arômes de cerises, de framboises et d'épices asiatiques, nez séducteur.
Belle structure, plutôt fine pour un NSG, moyennement complexe mais plaisante et assez corsée. Beaux acides et minéralité.
    Tiendra facilement 10 ans.
