March 1, 2024 - Somewhat muted aromatics. Tart red fruit, no rusticity. (6520/12060)

February 16, 2021 - Last tasted 8 years ago. Double decanted. Similar notes now. Dark in color. Very aromatic from the get go. Stems, sou bois, spice. A very structured wine. Slightly lean. Still some tannins poking through. My only criticism would be that I would like to see a bit more fruit to balance out the tannin and acid...fruit is there but seems to be hiding a bit. More time??

January 22, 2017 - Gorgeous aromatics. Huge florals. Some green stalks keep it quite young although there is development and maturity as well. Still a relatively robust red Burgundy but with very elegant nuances. Highly expressive showing and clearly a perfect bottle well stored. Didn't really take notes and just enjoyed with company. Terrific and easily worth the purchase of the list.

April 19, 2016 - Initially some rubbery scent and stems on the nose. Earth and some floral perfume with a touch of black pepper. Quite tannic. Decanted to try to open it up. The nose became more expressive but the palate shut down with time.
