December 31, 2023 - Last bottle. NYE dinner with pan seared duck breast & roasted vegetables. Complex but delicate; beginning to thin but hanging in there. Delicious. If you have this wine drink up!

December 23, 2023 - Unfortunately this was good but far from great. Some classic DRC textural features although somewhat muted. Cork soaked through so I suspect some heat damage along the journey. Polished red fruit, moderate spice, some earth notes. We drank every drop but, alas, I know what aged DRC can be and this was just not it.....

July 24, 2023 - A very fine bottle, which showed the vintage well. Lots of complexity, and strong out of the gates with an hour decant. Initially two of the six liked this better, but within an hour the 88 RSV was the unanimous favorite.

June 14, 2021 - Some dried rose, but more 2nd and tertiary aroma like sous-bois, dried leaves, and tea. After aeration more Vones spice. High tanning and acidity give it a good structure and energy, but over all not that deep and concentrated. Surprisingly not big but slightly lean to me. 07789
