March 30, 2024 - Plumb, blackberry & cranberry, with a touch pepper, woody herb and a faint hint of leather. Definitely not over the hill, but I don't see it getting much better from here. There is a small amount of acidity that is keeping it on the fresh side. Better with food, but still tasty without. No need to decant, but I do recommend using a strainer if you have one, as there is a lot of sediment.

March 17, 2024 - Six (6) years since last visit. Decanted two (2) hours. Threw off significant sediment. Deep purple with solid core of black fruit aromas...blackberry, blueberry and currant combined with black pepper, game, tobacco and leather. Fully integrated and softly textured; rich flavors of black fruit are joined with savory notes set upon a firm mineral base. Well balanced. with excellent lift; leading to pleasant evenly distributed finish. Delicious. Drink up!

March 7, 2024 - How good is this! It’s a complete wine. So beautifully balanced between sweet and savoury. A dance between raspberry, black olive and black pepper on the finish. Took about 2 hours of air to find its true expression. Fortunately I have one more bottle.

January 9, 2024 - Almost very dark. Roasted meat and black pepper on the nose- totally Syrah. Good concentration of tart black and red fruit in a light to medium body. There is no fat on this, it is crisp and firm. Very enjoyable today and probably for many more years.

July 23, 2023 - Dark red. Ripe black fruit and a bit of Syrah funk. Rich dry black cherry flavours and a ripe finish.
