February 24, 2023 - upgraded from last magnum, giving it a few hours decant this time. Still young.

December 27, 2022 - Fills the senses with dark fruits and darker leaves. Opened the bottle on Christmas Day and decanted for 2 hours. Fruits filled the vessel. On tasting it was sweet, intense and lasting. Fabulous - just as I hoped. Went perfect with our Crown Roast of lamb!

June 18, 2022 - Still tight from magnum, needed a few hrs decant. Great, rich nose.

November 7, 2021 - A reasonably good cab that we drank on my 57th birthday. Didn’t deliver the epic experience I hoped for from a wine from a strong vintage and a high price. Fairly mild tannins and a short finish atop a flavor profile of currant, black cherry, oak and vanilla. Nothing complex here - flavors lacked depth or interest. Drank over two nights and the wine showed no improvement.

July 17, 2021 - Consumed at 11 years old. The wine showed beautiful bottle bouquet. The fruit was still present but not a dominant aspect of the wine. The tannins have softened dramatically and were very fine and in balance. Drink now.
