April 6, 2020 - Filet with baked potato. Stayed home all day trying to avoid Coronavirus. Wine hopefully will open up more for tomorrow. Pretty mellow with no tannins at present. Aged too much I’m sure.

December 5, 2015 - We had this in a blind tasting at Steve and Katrina's haus at Thanksgiving. Katrina picked out the selection of four dry reds. I recognized it. Steve got Rioja on his third guess. He doesn't drink as many European reds as I, and prefers Italian reds to Spanish. The other three in the tasting were a California Zin, a Napa Cab, and a Burgundy Pinot. I guessed all of them correctly, though it took me a little while to get the Zin. It was not a characteristic Zin.
