November 24, 2022 - Mature and one-dimensional. Forest floor and black cherry. Quick finish. I don't get the feeling this was any better when young.

July 27, 2016 - Another inexpensive pinot, but, like the others I've had this week, rather unimpressive. Sure, nothing was "bad", however, after the attractive nose of earth, cherry, and surprising orange, the palate was rather thin and short. It did have great acid, and is probably fine with food, but didn't have nearly the grace mentioned in the critics' praises.

June 27, 2016 - Full fruit judged beautifully against the alcohol and savory elements, poised at the top of the parabola.

November 6, 2014 - Confused again, I initially went to Burgundy in a simpler Bourgogne, then the sugar weight in the mid led me to New World though I felt this was crafted either in a cooler vintage or a leaner style, called Oregon because the acid and clarity of color didn't say anywhere else to me; I feel this was fresher, lighter, and the color was clearer than many Central Otagos I've had in the past.

August 21, 2014 - NZ's Finest Pinot Noir Collection (Fine Wine Delivery, Mt Wellington, Auckland): purple hue, fresh red fruits and violet nose, quite simple PN, reflects Central Otago characters, not as intense as Jackson's Block.

Alc 14.3%, TA 5.9 gL, RS <1 gL

controversial reviews. JS 92, WS 88, JC Lee 84, BC 82, Geoff Kelly 15 (over-ripe and excessive reduced sulphurs)

    Ap: 4/5; Ar: 11/15; Palate: 15/20; overall: 3+2/10
    TOTAL: 85/100
