Community Tasting Notes 8

December 31, 2010 - I have had previous bottles that were not impressive, but this one hit the spot. Gentle spicy dark red fruits worked perfectly with the gentle flavours of roast veal and the more aggressive of a spicy red cabbage dish. Nice balance, certainly no aggressive acidity and my only criticism was that the finish was possibly a little short...

May 6, 2009 - Fairly consistent with my note of 4/21, still too acidic. 2 more btls to drink up and get this crap out of my cellar.

April 21, 2009 - To balance my previous two wildly disparate TN's, the tannins from the earliest note have ameliorated. Slight funk on the nose, maybe a little lactic sour milk note. Acid is only slighty out of balance (on the high side) so I probably had an off bottle in my second note, but I got my bottles from 2 different sources. All and all, acceptable but not memorable. Bottle variation noted. Continue to drink up.

February 19, 2008 - Searing acidity, practically takes the roof of your mouth off. Nose was fine, but the acidity makes it almost undrinkable, certainly not enjoyable after one glass.

November 4, 2007 - Awesome bottle. Timing was perfect.
