    Great wine.
It may be past its peak, but it is still good enough today.
Plenty of age, with no wasted muscle.
When is the first label ready to drink?

December 31, 2015 - With roast beef, PnP. Polished; smooth, soft, supple. Some red fruits, very subtle cigar box, almost no pencil. The 2006 vintage tried next was much more dominated by graphite and wood in comparison, and felt less integrated.

May 30, 2015 - VG, if restrained. Decanted for an hour but it seemed to open up much more in the glass. Subtle, and not led with rich fruits, but lovely tawny colour and secondary characteristics, good body, fresh and long. Shared with KP and EP who immediately went out to buy some.

September 28, 2014 - El Cumpleaños del Virrey / Viceroy's B'day (Madrid): A bottle following the vintage...austere, simple and reserved.
Aromas of wet baize at first turned into dusty violets with time.
Sortie on the palate yet pleasant. Good for what it was.
