  March 4, 2020 - lovely brick hue; blackberries with smoked peppers, stewed tomatoes, cinnamon and cigar box on the nose. Wonderful blend of black fruit, white pepper and alcohol. Fruit was delicious yet more forward two days ago when I opened the bottle. Hints of cinnamon on the palate with a tobacco aftertaste. Excellent!

  October 18, 2017 - The aroma on this one is complex. There is a mix of fresh fruit aromas and candied fruit; my thought is a compote of blackberries, bing cherries, and fruit leather, with hints of vanilla, licorice, and dust. The acidity is nice and bright, with a medium body, and flavors of cherry, cranberry, and blueberry. Finish is nice and long with a decent amount of very fine tannin remaining. If I had any remaining bottles of this, I would not worry about it going dull for a couple more years.

  September 7, 2015 - It's good. But loosing that freshness of a young Zin. Now we're starting to see barrel notes. Depending on what your looking for drink now or hold a little longer.
