  April 11, 2022 - This showed the dried fruit/sultry quality of the vintage with hints of fig with an orange liqueur top note that shows lush, soft flavors in the mouth with balanced tannin. This is a notably resolved Clos Vougeot that shows impressive ripeness without the austere tannins one might expect. Good acidity freshness still. In a great zone! 94.

  April 10, 2022 - My last bottle of this, it didn’t show quite as well as the one killed in December 2020. Dried red fruit, ripe old red burgundy, soil-inflected. A nice finish to a Clos Vougeot tasting. Producer: Jean Meo

  December 30, 2020 - Classic old burg color (orange/mahogany translucence); started slow but opened up to a beautiful nose of beetroot, cola, Worcestershire, cured meats. Similar flavor profile. Luxurious mouthfeel and a very long finish. An early treat for the coming New Year. Producer: Jean Meo

  November 22, 2009 - Made by Jean Gros. Tons of spice, black pepper, black fruit, some old wine varnish. Palate is rich with fruit and some minerality. Great acidic structure structure frames everything nicely. I very much enjoyed this bottle; more interesting than the '70 Alexis Lichine Chambertin.
