July 10, 2013 - Awesome nose right off the bat. Leafy tobacco and sweet red fruit. Really does smell like you are walking down a wooded path on a damp afternoon and you pick up some wet leaves that happened to be situated on top of some strawberries that you crush when you grab a handful of leaves. Has some vegetal smell too. Tannins coat your mouth like someone who gives you a warm hug but never quite squeezes to hard. Typical varietal flavors, but for me this wine is all about aroma and mouthfeel.
