    Inky purple
Dark plums, raisins, and a little ?toasted oak?
A little spicy, but not hot.
    A bit heavy/syrupy.
A heavy, silky, heavy, mouth feel
A long, dark finish that lasts a particularly long time

February 16, 2017 - Deep purple, practically opaque. Beautiful floral nose, almost like orange blossom water, backed up with black pepper, cedarwood, melon and blackcurrant.

The rich, unctuous wine coats your tongue, there's berry, oak and chocolate, more floral flavours, ripe raspberry juice and a finish that dies away slowly. The tannins are there, but smooth, so balanced against the incredible fruit, and the spirit feels almost undetectable in the mouth.

September 7, 2015 - Bright dense fruit, syrup, candied berries, hide the btl for another decade.

April 22, 2014 - I know it's young, but I was impatient to try one of these "fabled" 2011s, so I drank this with friends over a period of a couple of days. Like an unfolding ballet this was many different drinks over time - starting with distinct blackcurrant, then moving towards "grape brandy", it then gained an edge and lost some fruit, but a few hours later the fruit returned, blackberries this time, and the finish got longer. Right now this is simply lovely - in 20 years time this could well be a classic.
