January 9, 2021 - 8.5 hours upon opening into Sydonios le Septentrional glass (“No” day): Medium garnet to the eyes.

Smoke infused red and purplish berries and cherries. Strong white spices that is well integrated.

Ambitious but delivering well in its acidity and tannin balance. Silky but more volumetric tannins.

    93-94 points.

February 17, 2020 - We had a pretty similar experience to the prior reviewer Andrewbdc ( who writes better than I do) but just to contribute a bit, pretty reserved upon opening the bottle, but very nice on day 2 ( after a day of coravin): nothing super complex but a very nice taste of blackberry bramble, plenty of fruit, well integrated and easy drinking. Agree plenty of life left and won’t rush to drink the remaining bottles. Really nice for a village.

October 19, 2019 - Bramble, dark cherry, wild strawberry, smoke, liquorice, forest floor. Developing. Dry palate, high acidity, medium tannins, quite fine, long finish. Oak is quite evident, but reasonably well integrated. Fruit is still quite primary, this still has plenty of life ahead of it - it definitely opens up with time in the decanter. Better than the average village wine.

November 9, 2014 - Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Mostly black fruit with classically firm, black Gevrey character, but today a bit too rugged for the level of fruit coming through. This was nice, but I definitely preferred the 2012 vintage tasted immediately after.
