  January 26, 2018 - Upon opening, I tasted bitter green pepper (pyrazine) that muted everything else. The next day I tried my venturi to see if the wine would open up. It didn't help mute the green pepper taste which I hate in a wine. After sealing the bottle via a vacuum pump, I let the bottle sit another four days. I was very pleased to find the pyrazine taste gone and a typical dark fruit Syrah present with a smooth finish. I'm thinking this vintage may be best to drink up now especially if you like green pepper in your wine!

  April 6, 2014 - Robust and luscious. Lotsa pencil box notes on opening/decanting/pouring. Big, deep fruit.

  November 12, 2013 - Dark fruit & spice. Light tannins/acid. Drank well for a couple days after opening- don't hesitate to open but should drink well for several years.
