June 28, 2023 - Flower day. First Overnoy and very impressed! Reductive and high acidity, in a way not unlike d'auvenay's aligoté. Very long length and gains complexity in the bottle, white sesame on the finish

May 7, 2023 - a delicate wine which was much less flashy and powerful than the Ganevats that preceded or followed. My second time with Overnoy so limited experience possibly accounting for the limited appreciation. Almost everyone else at the table was in deep admiration. Described to me as "a peasant wine that went intellectual."

November 3, 2022 - I guess it’s a prerequisite for every serious wine lover to try a wine from Pierre Overnoy once, today was my chance.
I must admit that I thought it would be a “be there, fine that” moment, but I was wrong.
The bouquet convinces with amazing freshness, some pear and apricots. On top some almost Mersault like minerality and salinity coupled with buttery undertones.
Not a big wine but with extreme length, vibrancy and balance.
I guess this hasn’t seen even its best days yet.

February 10, 2022 - Not too sure how an 11 yo wine packs so much vibrancy and punch!. I thought it would have more aged character, but… it was still in its youth (apart from a little honey and oiliness on the mouth)… If I still had bottles, I’d suggest opening the next one in 10 years.
But my goodness, this is unbelievably well made!

June 18, 2021 - Natural wines - Special Edition (Barabba): Quite and amazing wine packed with intensity and depth. The acidity is piercing and vibrant. Pretty stunning wine! 96-97p
