September 14, 2021 - Smooth with blue and black fruit. A nice drink but for me it just doesn’t have a lot of complexity.

December 25, 2020 - Second magnum of this wine. While the first bottle showed more fruit, this bottle was more powerful. Really dark in the glass with loads of dark fruit on the nose and palate. Somewhat one dimensional on its own. Paired well with the first course of meat ravioli but shined when paired with Beef Tenderloin with mushrooms and blue cheese. Fantastic. I will wait at lease a few more years on my last magnum. This has PLENTY of life left in it, fo sure.

June 1, 2019 - Decanted. Deep garnet color. Classic cab aromas and flavors of black cherry & cassis, clove spices, violets, worn cedar, tobacco and graphite. Open rich fruit on the attack - blackberry and cherry, well-integrated secondary depth. Elegant, medium weight, persistent middle density. Fine medium tannins. Good depth and persistence on the finish. Showing very well.

February 27, 2019 - Nice juice. Deep color. Rich Diamond Mountain fruit. Smooth. Very fine tannins. Touch of graphite on the finish provides some lift.

February 23, 2019 - Opened on Friday night and saw it open up as night went on. Had glass the following day and the wine really revealed the skill of Rudy. So plush, so smooth, and such a reward it delivered for the wait. Sad it was our last bottle. We have always loved Rudy’s estate wines as much as his single vineyard offerings.
