June 22, 2022 - Super savory and saucy on the nose. Smoked mesquite, chili sauce, and dried spices.
This carries through on the palate where the wine is medium weight with medium acid and medium plus tannin. Might open up but this is not great right off the bat. Could be on the decline. Will update if needed, otherwise drink up!

Edit: This got much better after a few hours of air. Most of the funky qualities blew off however it remained astringent on the palate. Hard to say if this will get better in time but definite give it some air before diving in.

    November 11, 2017 - Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.

Just shy of the magical 90, but still very good. Completely integrated, no edges. Fruit not that present, but this was not a problem. Did not decent. Opened up a bit through the bottle -- 2-3 hours

April 10, 2016 - Completely past it, oxidizing nicely.

February 22, 2016 - Still alive and kicking. Great notes of dusty leather, dried cherry, forest floor, and a touch of bret. All these combine to create a very A-typical aged Bordeaux

October 25, 2015 - Mature but still alive and kicking. The bouquet is reticent with dark fruits and some white pepper after coaxing. Palate is smooth but acidity and some greener tannins linger around to blemish the sweet fruit. It was good but not memorable.
