April 22, 2023 - This one is showing its age. Herbal nose, hawthorn and leather bureau marred by celery notes.

August 22, 2020 - Out of the bottle this was very youthful, tannin was very present on the finish. After 30-45 minutes it began to open up quite nicely. Fruit was very fresh and ripe.

February 27, 2019 - Black currant, blackberry, sous bois, considerable fruit on nose; powerful, intense, prolonged, mixture of soil and faded fruit; perhaps not overly eager to please but impressive depth and strength
After 2 Hours: Well integrated nose and palate, continues to be bold and forceful, though slightly softer and quite lovely

November 27, 2018 - Quite surprised at how oxidated it was.

August 17, 2017 - Casual Burgundy Dinner (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Black plum and fig comes across very ripe with pronounced surmaturite character. Some slight muddy notes started emerging after open two hours.
