October 3, 2021 - Method: opened a couple hours in advance; Cab glass; 67 degrees
Look: deep ruby; many slow, vicious legs
Nose: black cherry, black raspberry, leather, eucalyptus, sweet tobacco
Palate: black raspberry, plum, eucalyptus, light leather, light graphite; finish leather, dried sage, licorice, light minerality; dry; full body; medium, plush tannin; medium acidity; can tell it has a bit of alcohol, but I don't really get any heat
Overall thoughts: Really great full body and plush mouthfeel, while still maintaining balance. Really good mixture of fruit (not jammy) and earthy/herbal notes. I'm not sure how this will evolve from here, but I think it's in a really good place. Great wine! -

October 8, 2017 - Be patient, the PnP was a bit off putting, with an incredible amount of smoke. With decanting, this is a beautiful expression. Inky black color, dark blackberry, blueberry, dark cherry, vanilla, oak, spice, and smoke. Incredible mouth feel that remains somewhat linear but balanced thoughout. Reasonably long finish. Will continue to develop with more cellaring. Easily 5-10 more years.

December 28, 2013 - Cured meats, big fruit flavors without being a fruit bomb, lush red fruit, and a hint of smokiness. Great example of an excellent paso Syrah.
