February 19, 2024 - 14% alcohol. This is the "deuxième mise". Decent cork with minimal inscription. Decanted an hour ahead. The colour is dark with very limited thinning at the rim.
The nose is vivid with an interesting mix of red fruit and black olive. The mouth is similar with a certain roughness in the finish, and a flavour which is quite familiar in a non-wine context but which I can't put my finger on.
I suspect that there is a problem with this bottle as it does not seem to be on the level that I was expecting.

PS: after revisiting this bottle seven days later, I am now of the view that it is affected by a very low level of TCA, and I have changed the rubric accordingly.

January 18, 2023 - Tasdted blimd. So right now this is ripe and tight and quite difficult to enjoy. It has drying tannins and massive concentration. But in a decade it will probably be great.

December 30, 2022 - Random wines tasted during service (Oinoscent): From magnum (22.30 decanted in 2 carafes and left a 1/3 in the bottle, 11.40 tasted)

The wine shows depth and high intensity in the nose, filled with dark fruit, floral notes next to blue berries, fine spicy frame, elegant without any gamey note.
In the palate, the wine shows again youthful character, fruity, tight tannins, high acidity and mineral, medium to full body, long finish.
There are a few stalky notes (or so it seems) but not aggressive or annoying only adding to its freshness. Still a lovely long life ahead, happy that I have one more magnum
    Outstanding quality

August 12, 2022 - Been quite awhile since I tried one of these. It is delicious, but really still a baby. Still really mostly primary with gobs of ripe black fruits, blackberries, blueberries, marion berries; just a hint of minerality and really minimal if any smoke or meat. There are some floral notes that come with air. The palate is dense and packed, but well balanced with good acidity and while the tannins are still quite robust they are fine and suave. Really pretty enjoyable and should age easily another 2 decades based on this bottle.
