September 16, 2018 - Purchased off the wine list at l’Assiette. Rich, dark garnet-purple color. Nose of plum pits, cassis, moca, blossom. Quite open on the palate, yielding layers of sweet plum, dark currant, beef blood, and hints of tobacco. Freshening acidity and firm but surprising rounded tannin. Moderately long finish of buoyant red plum fruit with sweet grip. Wife loved it with signature cassoulet and creme caramel.

January 23, 2017 - Tasted at a restaurant in bordeaux france. Entering it's drinking window with deep red fruit, wet earth, and leather flavor, drying tannins, and still some good freshness. Delightful.
